What are Periodontics Germany?
You may think that your dentist specialises in everything, but this is not the case, there are many different specialities when it comes to dentistry and periodontics Germany is just one of eight dental focuses and specialities and focuses around diseases in the mouth which affect both the gums and the bone that supports the teeth.
A periodontist will be able to diagnose a problem and help in preventing the problem, as well as being able to treat the jaw and supporting structures in the mouth as well as the gums. They are also able to place and maintain dental implants.
It may surprise you to know that around 9 out of 10 people in the world will suffer with a form of periodontal disease within their life. Common symptoms of periodontal disease include:
· Your gums are likely to bleed whilst brushing your teeth, and are tender and or red.
· You may find that you experience pus when you press the affected area.
· Your teeth may become longer, or you may find that your tooth is loose.
· It may be that you have noticed that you have a bad taste within your mouth, or that you are suffering from bad breath.
It is really important that you visit the dentist regularly in order to avoid dental decay, as well as a good hygiene routine surrounding your teeth. It is important to brush twice a day and floss and use mouth wash.
For children, it is important that they avoid having too many sweets as these can ruin both the teeth and gums. Try to get them to eat more fruit, and always encourage brushing twice a day.
